St. Michael's Parish 
Graduation – Sixth Years and post primary school communities will be celebrating graduations very soon. Not only has this school year passed quickly but the six years of post primary school has also passed by quickly. Schools are also celebrating annual award ceremonies and it’s truly impressive to see the personal and academic achievements of young people celebrated. The resilience, optimism and creativity of young people is truly impressive. As Sixth Years approach their state examinations, we keep them in our prayers. We will pray for them at Masses while many shrine candles will be lit in prayer. As a parish community, we are proud of all of our young people and ask God’s blessing on them at examination time and in life. Fr. Michael

Holy Cross Church is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year. The Redemptorist Fathers will lead a Parish Triduum from 21st – 23rd September and also be involved at Masses on weekend 19th/20th September in preparation. This will be a significant time for Mahon and Blackrock Parishes as well as our Family of Parishes.
Congratulations to the Second Class children from Scoil Barra Naofa Buachaillí and Scoil Barra Naofa Cailíní who celebrated their First Holy Communion recently. Pupils from Scoil Ursula, St. Michael’s NS and The School of the Divine Child will celebrate their First Holy Communion next Saturday 23rd May. We look forward to a gathering of all the First Holy Communion children and their families on Sunday 24th May @ 11am Mass.
100th Cork Eucharistic Procession and Visit of the Relics of St. Carlo Acutis – Information sheets and prayer cards remain available in the church about these important diocesan events. Blackrock Parish will be joining in the Cork Eucharistic Procession on Sunday 7th June and we will have more details soon.
Cork & Ross Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes | September 18th to 24th
The Cork and Ross Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from the 18th to the 24th this year under the patronage of Bishop Fintan Gavin.
