Golden Jubilee – This weekend We welcome Fr. Kieran O’Mahony OSA as he celebrates the golden jubilee of his Ordination to the Priesthood with us at 11am Mass. We welcome his Augustinian confreres and family members to the Mass. Not only is Fr. Kieran a regular visitor to Blackrock Parish but we are also very grateful to him for his inspiring contribution to our weekly newsletter making the Sunday readings more accessible and easier to understand. This is a great gift and much appreciated by people from our own parish and beyond. We wish Kieran every blessing on this special occasion. Ad Multos Annos – Fr. Michael
School Holidays – Best wishes to all the children, their families and school communities for an enjoyable and safe summer break.
Annual Cemetery Mass – There was an exceptionally large attendance for the Mass last Wednesday evening. Sincere thanks to all the volunteers who arranged everything so effectively. While there is a sadness in the Mass, it truly was a lovely occasion with so many people and families gathered together to lovingly remember their loved ones who have died. May they all rest in the peace of the Lord.
Canon Kieran Twomey RIP. – this weekend we remember Canon Kieran Twomey our late and much-loved parish priest who returned to the House of the Father on 27th June 2019. We thank God for his deep faith and gentle presence in our parish. May he rest in the peace of the Lord.
