St. Michael's Parish 
Ad Multos Annos – This weekend we warmly congratulate Canon Tadgh O’Mathúna who celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of his Ordination to the Priesthood during the week. On 17th June 1966, he was ordained as a priest here in St. Michael’s Church, Blackrock. That began a long association for him with our church and parish. He was appointed as parish priest of Blackrock in 2000 and has faithfully served the parish since then.
We are grateful for his vision and leadership as he worked with dedicated parishioners to refurbish our church ensuring that it’s a special place for us all to gather and be in the presence of God. His prayerful and wise presence in happy times and sad times over the years is profoundly appreciated by people and families both in our parish and beyond. May the Lord continue to bless him and strengthen him. – Fr. Michael
School Holidays – Our parish primary schools will close for the summer holidays during the coming week. We are very appreciative as a parish for what our schools do for the children and their families. Please God, everyone will have a nice holiday and well-deserved rest. We wish the Sixth Classes every blessing as they move on to post primary school in the autumn. This is a time to celebrate and also remember for them, their families and their schools. May the Lord bless into the future.

Celebrating 40 Years of Mahon Parish – if you have any photographs of the early years of Mahon Parish or construction of Holy Cross Church, you might like to make them available. These can be handed into the Mahon Parish Office during office hours.
