October ~ 4th October 2026

October – Very soon we will see a big change with the leaves falling, darker mornings and evenings, a sense of autumn and winter approaching.  We have been blessed this year with such beautiful days and hopefully these will continue for some time longer.  September was a long month for schools since reopening in late August.  The summer holidays are now a distant memory.  In the church and parish, the pre sacramental programmes will be starting soon to accompany all our young people.  Our minds are turning to the month of November as we remember those who have died in the November Novena, the Remembrance Mass for all those who have died since this time last year and the Blessing of the Graves in early November.  Very soon, the changing season will bring us to remember and pray. The important thing is that we will have the opportunity to remember together as a parish and community.  We will not be on our own.  May the Lord bless us in these days ahead.  St. Michael, pray for us. –  Fr. Michael
