WHELAN (Blackrock, Cork). On January 30th 2016, after a long illness bravely borne surrounded by her family at Cork University Hospital. MARY (née Hayes), beloved wife of Patrick (Sonny) and loving mother of Pat, Jacinta (Collins), Geraldine (O’Sullivan), Colette (Hegarty) and Martin. Sadly missed by her loving husband and family, sister Phil, daughters-in-law Teresa and Gemma, sons-in-law Francis, Pat and Michael, her adored grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh.O’Connor Ltd. Removal at 6.00pm on Monday evening to St. Michael’s Church, Blackrock. Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon on Tuesday. Funeral afterwards to St. Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.
