Do This in Memory
This weekend, we have the Enrolment Mass for the First Holy Communion children and their families. This parish-based programme went very well last year and we look forward to the same this year. Children and families have a very good experience of welcome and participation. The presence of the children brings life to our church and we all really welcome that. Their presence also brings life long memories. Many of us still recall our own preparations for the sacraments and church visits as children. We want to give this generation the same positive experience and this parish-based programme gives families a helpful structure for this to happen.
We hope to have the Enrolment Mass for the Confirmation children very soon to give them a good parish experience and St. Michael’s Church at its best. Fr. Michael
Annual Remembrance Mass – for all those who have died in our parish over the last year will be celebrated on Monday 3rd November @ 7pm. Letters of Invitation to families are currently available in the church or being delivered.
November Novena for the Dead – Sunday 2nd to Monday 10th November. There will be Mass each weekday @ 9.30am during the Novena. Envelopes and Lists are available in the church.
Blessing of Graves – on Sunday 2nd November @ 3pm in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Do This in Memory – welcome to the First Holy Communion children and their families to their Enrolment Mass this Saturday evening @ 6pm. May the Lord bless the children, their families, their school communities and our parish.
Altar Servers – we are very proud of our new altar servers and would love to see more boys and girls join them to expand the team and help us at weekend Masses.
Family of Parishes Alpha Programme – continues each Wednesday evening in SMA Blackrock Road at 7.30pm until 20th November. People are welcome any Wednesday evening to participate.
SMA Parish – Sunday Masses continue temporarily @ 10am & 12noon in Crab Lane NS (Portakabin) off Boreenmanna Road.
