Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day
We look forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with Masses @ 9am & 11am in St. Michael’s and @ 10am in Holy Cross next Tuesday. For a good few years now, the faith significance of St. Patrick’s Feast Day has been less obvious. However, we will still celebrate our faith as something beautiful which shapes our lives, our families and of who we are. Faith has deep roots in our church and parish. How often do we acknowledge this at the time of a Requiem Mass in the church when we pray for family members who have given everything in life and trusted in God throughout. Our faith carries us and we will celebrate with lovely music and as gaeilge again this year. – Fr. Michael
Confirmations & First Confessions – Congratulations to the Sixth Class pupils from Scoil na Croise Naofa who celebrated their Confirmation last Wednesday in Holy Cross Church. Rang a Dó from Gaelscoil Mhachan celebrated their First Confession last Monday. The five celebrations of First Confession have now concluded. All the Confirmation ceremonies have also concluded. The remaining Confirmation celebration for Sixth Class in Crab Lane NS takes place in St. Michael’s in April. These have been great days and evenings for families, schools and our parishes. May the Lord bless all involved.
New Ministers of the Word & Eucharist – this began successfully last Tuesday evening and continues on next Thursday 19th March @ 7pm provided by the Office of Mission & Ministry in the Diocese. Please contact Fr. Michael if you wish to become involved or recommend another person. Our parish needs many more volunteers.
