Eastertime – the attendances at the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday morning were evidently larger than recent years. There was a lovely atmosphere in the church and we are all encouraged when we see so many present. Overall, Holy Week was beautifully celebrated with good attendances for all ceremonies. In recent years and especially since the covid pandemic, a sense of resignation in relation to church attendances was taking hold. In more recent times we have seen the loyalty and dedication of so many people and families contributing to stable and growing attendances. Christmas 2025 and Holy Week this year have reinforced the sense that our parish is still very much alive. We endeavour to involve more people in different ministries and elements of parish life. We will continue to do this reassured that our faith is important and the need for faith remains in the context of a fearful and chaotic world. – Fr. Michael
